Vacancy Announcement: MYP PHE Teacher, Aga Khan Academies

The position

The Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa is currently recruiting a PHE Teacher who can deliver high quality MYP instruction in order to develop young people’s understanding of healthy lifestyle and physical skills . The candidate should ideally have a strong sporting background and experience of coaching teams ( Basketball or swimming would be an added advantage).

The PHE Teacher will be responsible for

  • Effective delivery of lessons
  • Monitoring and supporting student progress
  • Supervising Internal Assessment and Personal Project.

The requirements

  • A Bachelor of Education or bachelor’s degree with a teaching qualification.
  • Must have a TSC Certificate or an internationally recognized teaching qualification or a BEd / MEd
  • At least 2 years’ experience teaching in IB MYP Physical Health Education
  • Experience of working in a culturally diverse environment.
  • High level of competitive sport
