Vacancy Announcement: Global Digital Content Producer, Save the Children International

The Opportunity

Save the Children International has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as the Global Digital Content Producer in Worldwide: Any existing Save the Children International Regional or Country office

ROLE PURPOSE:

This is a really exciting role suitable for an experienced digital storyteller who is passionate about current digital trends and developing creative digital campaigns to engage audiences in new and innovative ways. There is an opportunity for this role to drive, interrogate and challenge how Save the Children interacts with audiences globally across our digital and social channels. By drawing on our international programmes and content you will be able to make a real change for children.

As a global movement Save the Children has exceptionally ambitious digital, advocacy, supporter growth, fundraising and programme delivery targets designed to maximize the positive impact that we can have for children across the world.

Powerful and engaging content is critical to achieving this ambition, whether across fundraising targets, when lobbying for political change, or raising brand and media profile. We are looking to transform the way we tell stories with a digital first approach, creating memorable interactions with supporters through high quality, emotional, authentic global creative content.

The role sits in the Global Creative Content Unit (GCCU) in Save the Children International (SCI), a small and nimble team providing children’s stories and supporter engagement content for the global Save the Children movement.

As Global Digital Content Producer, you will have a busy role, producing integrated story content and supporter engagement and fundraising products, with a focus on swift digital packages and fully integrated digital campaign packages. You will work closely with the SCI digital team to develop their content needs, support their digital strategy, follow digital trends, share and develop digital skills within the GCCU, and develop content to improve the organization’s digital reach.

You will strive to maximize content and create integrated packages, working with other teams at SCI and with Save the Children’s Member organizations to meet the digital content needs of the different markets and deliver outstanding digital content. We are always aiming to improve our integrated approach to working and you will think ‘bigger picture’ to consider how content can be used across the organization, including on non-digital channels.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile. In the event that the humanitarian producer is absent they will lead on the development of content in partnership with the Global Media Unit and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
