Vacancy Announcement: Electrical College Trainer, CAP Youth Empowerment Institute
- To ensure disadvantaged youth acquire life skills, relevant labor market skills, savings education, and small business development.
- To facilitate disadvantaged youth access internship and job opportunities during through institutionalized public-private partnership.
- To ensure youth receive vital pre and post job placement counseling, support, and services including financial as they transition to work.
CAP-Youth Empowerment Institute Kenya (YEI) is seeking to employ an Electrical College Trainer whose primary function is to deliver Electrical course content in both hands on and classroom setting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct electrical trainings including electrical installation and maintenance at the college.
- Participate in road shows to mobilize students
- Maintain up to date records for all students
- Source for internship opportunities for the course students
- Ensure students on internships fill their logbooks
- Plan, prepare and conduct continuous course tests and examinations
- Review and maintain quality standards in course content and delivery
- Ensure students maintain highest levels of discipline at all times
- Source for course mentors for guest lectures
- Arrange field and exposure visits for trainees
- Maintain track record of learning and keep the database up to date
- Any other duty assigned.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering. Those with diplomas with 2 years industry experience will be considered.
- Knowledge and experience in computers
- Experience in teaching
- Good presentation and communication skills
- Leadership skills
