Job purpose

  • The job purpose is to ensure the water treatment project is accomplished through installation of treatment  systems on selected water points.
  • The Engineering officers-ILC Systems will conduct Installation and maintenance of water treatment systems on existing small and standalone water distribution systems.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Setting up and confirmation of ILC water treatment systems in the field offices
  • Transporting of ILC water treatment systems/devices to the field
  • Installation of water treatment systems on recommended water points in collaboration with the owners
  • Filling in documentation and data for the work process in a timely manner
  • Calibration of the system to the recommended chlorine levels

Qualifications

  • Education: Vocational training qualification in Plumbing
  • Craft Certificate in plumbing from a recognized institution.
  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a minimum grade of ‘D’.
  • Technical knowledge in plumbing works with at least 1 year experience
  • Computer literacy.

Working conditions

  • The work will entail 10% office and 90% fieldwork including  rural villages.
  • The applicant will be needed at some point during the period from September to December 2021
  • The work will be intermittent over that period of time on an as needed basis
  • Position will be paid for days worked

Position Location 

The position will be based either in Trans-Nzoia, Siaya or Vihiga counties. Clearly indicate your preferred location.

No direct reports but will report to Lead Officer.
