Seeking a results-driven HR professional with 2+ years of experience leading HR functions to align our HR initiatives and functions with business objectives and business needs specifically focusing on Employee Relations, Compensation and Benefits.

With operations across six core countries in Africa, we make farmers more prosperous by providing quality farm supplies on credit, delivered within walking distance of farmers’ homes, and agricultural training to improve harvests. ABOUT THE ROLE
You will develop our compensation and performance management frameworks and systems and act as a strategic advisor to our organization on all matters relating HR compliance and Market Practice. You will report to the People Division Lead
RESPONSIBILITIES
Performance Management
- Provide specialist advice on matters relating to the implementation of our performance management framework following organizational goals, regulation and market practice
- Provide specialist advice and recommendations to strengthen recognition and reward of performance and determine employee development projects to support continuous improvement
- Lead the administration of our performance management processes in compliance with regulation and market practice
Compensation and Benefits
- Ensure all compensation and benefits programs and procedures comply with current legislation.
- Lead the negotiation process with third-party service providers to ensure optimal benefits at reasonable value
- Lead the administration of our compensation and benefits processes including payroll in compliance with regulation and market practice
Employee Relations
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to daily management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance in partnership with the legal team
- Lead knowledge and awareness programs for managers and important partners on issues relating to legal compliance and market practice
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
- Work with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Managerial/ Supervisory Roles
- Lead the development of the Employee Relations Team’s work schedules
- Build a culture of personal accountability and high performance for the team
- Build the competence of the team to accomplish all important tasks within the ER and Performance Management system following the scope of their role
- Review final outputs from the team to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and organization’s policies
- Provide performance feedback to the ER and Performance Management team using all the relevant performance management channels available to improve capacity.

QUALIFICATIONS
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- 2 years experience as a HR business Partner or a similar role
- Certified HR professional
- Understanding of Kenya’s employment laws
- Working knowledge on relevant HRIS systems
