Role Profile

The Impact, Learning, Knowledge, and Accountability (ILKA) Team is looking for a dynamic and energetic intern who is eager to learn about CARE and more specifically, advocacy interventions and how to measure them. This position will report to the ILKA Knowledge Management and Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Advisor. The intern will work closely with the ILKA team in managing and collecting data on the progress of advocacy interventions, and supporting the planning of workshops and rolling out of documentation.

The successful candidate should be able to embrace positivity, inquisitiveness, adaptability, critical thinking, and teamwork.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Information Management

  • Assist in tracking and documenting advocacy wins and outcome-level results at regional and country level.
  • Support information collection, verification, and compilation of advocacy wins.

2. Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Capacity Development Support

  • Support in providing technical support to targeted regional and country teams including training of staff members on M&E concepts, skills, and tools.
  • Assist in building capacities for enhancing skills and knowledge for proper and quality data collection and reporting.
  • Contribute in designing training materials, communication materials, and knowledge products.
  • Participate in virtual internal and external monitoring through assisting in organizing and facilitating various events such as meetings, workshops, conferences, and seminars.

3. Reporting and Documentation

  • Support analysis and visualization of both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Maintain the Advocacy MEAL CARE Shares page (Ms. SharePoint) and upload/tag documents appropriately.
  • Consolidate and summarize reports from regional and country offices.

Qualifications and Experience

Education:

  • University Degree (must have graduated not more than 2 years ago, or is currently a student) in a relevant field with basic knowledge of M&E concepts and related tasks.

Experience:

  • Knowledge on writing reports and designing tools for data collection, data analysis, data visualization and production of reports.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Basic knowledge on the use of Microsoft Office applications (particularly Ms. SharePoint Sites).
