Global Forum on Remittances, Investment and Development
On 16 and 17 June, IFAD will host the Global Forum on Remittances, Investment and Development (GFRID) 2021, which will be held virtually. The two-day forum will focus on the impact remittances can have on the sustainable development of migrants’ communities of origin, particularly in light of the COVID-19 crisis, and on digitization as a lever to promote financial inclusion for remittance families.
Over 500 high-level participants from governments, central banks, the private sector, multilateral organizations and the civil society are expected to attend.
