Elephants Managers Association’s Small Grants Program

EMA calls for proposals focused on field-based conservation projects with impacts in resolving current elephant-related issues in Africa and Asia.  Priority is given to proposals that: provide education and community outreach, provide capacity-building in local communities, and/or improve captive elephant management and welfare.

Eligibility: This opportunity is open to anyone, including keepers, conservationists, and researchers.

Benefit: The program will award two grants for $1,500 each.

Furthermore, the following funding and impact statements will be considered in prioritizing the proposals:

      1. EMA funding will support a new or unique project, or seed money for a new part of an existing project.
      2. Outcomes of the project can be transferred to other situations (wild and/or captive) impacting a large number of elephants, people, projects, etc.
