Consultancy on End-User Finance Study & Payment Systems Research
The Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is Implementing Technical cooperation measures on behalf of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Energy Solutions for Displacement Settings (ESDS) project in Kenya is being implemented in Turkana County which hosts refugees in Kakuma Refugee Camp and Kalobeyei Integrated Settlement, Turkana West sub-county. The objective of the project is to strengthen Turkana County Government (TCG) in the implementation of Kalobeyei Integrated Socio-Economic Development Plan (KISEDP) focusing on access to sustainable and affordable energy solutions through promotion of market-based approaches.
GIZ is seeking for consultants to participate in an End-User Finance study & Payment Systems research to improve energy access for refugees & host communities in Turkana West sub-county. The objective of the study is to assess existing end-user finance and payment solutions for energy products in Kenya and the development of concepts in order to promote access to sustainable energy products for refugee and host community households with market-based approaches in Kakuma & Kalobeyei.
Interested consultant must have Masters education qualification in the field of Business Development, Finance, Development Economics, Energy Economics or related fields; 10 years professional experience in Business Development and/or Financial assessments of energy products; 8 years’ work experience in Kenya/East Africa region. Prior experience in development cooperation or displacement settings will be an asset.
Interested consultants must provide verifiable proof of qualifications and experience in similar/related services. The tenderer is also requested to provide a summary assessment of the team proposed and must specify their positions, tasks and qualifications for each expert.
