Amref Health Africa was founded in 1957 and has since grown to become the largest African-based international health development organization; currently implementing more than 140 programs, directly reaching more than 12 million people across 35 African countries. MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
The FP/RMNCAH Assistant will provide hands on support and technical assistance to the SCHMT to strengthen the quality and utilization of reproductive, maternal, neonatal, child, and adolescent health services.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide technical guidance, advice and support to project counterparts to effectively implement activities across a broad range of service delivery areas, including:
a. Quality improvement along FP/RMNCAH continuum of care.
b. Maternal and Perinatal Death Surveillance and Response (MPDSR).
c. Respectful maternity care.
d. High impact and locally appropriate interventions, such as KMC, birthing cushions, youth friendly services, post-abortion care.
e. Treatment and management of STIs including HIV (eMTCT).
f. Integrated management of childhood illnesses (IMCI).
g. Improved inter-facility referral.
h. Improved blood availability.
i. Family planning service delivery including long-term methods (through static clinics and outreach).
j. Nutrition and WASH.
k. Work with hard-to-reach or marginalized communities.
• Promote the development of health workers and management of staff capacity in the above areas through a broad range of approaches such as curriculum development and training, one-on-one mentorship and on-the-job training, supportive supervision, etc.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills
• Bachelors of Science degree in Health related or Social Sciences from recognized University.
• Training, knowledge and experience in the implementation of community FP/RMNCAH related programs including.
• Training and experience in capacity building of CSOs and grassroots organizations is essential.

Experience
• At least three (3) years’ relevant work experience with hands on experience in supporting and implementation of FP/RMNCAH community programs.
• Experience in implementing projects involving diverse partners, consortiums and operations
