Request for Proposals(RFP) to Conduct the Malaria Behavior Survey in Kenya

This announcement is for a request for proposals by the Johns Hopkins University Center for Communication Programs (CCP) on behalf of the Breakthrough ACTION project in collaboration with the Division of National Malaria Program (DNMP), to conduct a community-based survey on factors associated with malaria prevention and treatment in the lake region of Kenya, which comprises the following counties: Bungoma, Busia, Kakamega, Vihiga, Homa Bay, Kisumu, Migori and Siaya.

Breakthrough ACTION is a five-year USAID funded project that encourages people to adopt healthier behaviors through innovative approaches to social and behavior change (SBC). This RFP aims to identify a research firm that will conduct a quantitative household survey and field the survey with the support of CCP research and project staff. The selected Vendor will work collaboratively with Breakthrough ACTION, DNMP, Kenya National Bureau of Statistics, and local community authorities, among others, to collect information about the factors influencing malaria-related health behaviors among a sample of households.

Eligible bidders must be a registered non-government owned enterprise. Awarding of all or a portion of this scope of work is contingent on available funds. The contract will be a
fixed-fee contract.
