Consultancy: Statistical Analyses
The International Potato Center Potato (CIP) is seeking to recruit a dynamic and experienced consultant to provide professional expertise in statistical analyses of historical data from the national performance trial in Kenya and access the clonal performance across three breeding cycles for LTVR breeding population. GxE analyses and estimate the genetic gain trend, estimate the components of variance, genetic gain and generate the breeding value using ASREML. Reporting a complete summary results – R scripts/materials and methods.
Deliverables
- Statistical analyses of historical data from the national performance trial in Kenya– multiple seasons, years, and agronomic management. GxE analyses and estimate the genetic gain trend for CIP clones using ASREML.
- Assess the clonal performance across three breeding cycles for LTVR breeding population. i) Estimate the components of variance, genetic gain and generate the breeding value using ASREML.
Requirements
- PhD degree in Agronomy – Plant breeding
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Statistics/Biometrics/R Programing
- Strong Knowledge of Mixed modeling using ASREML.
Expected duration and conditions:
• This consultancy contract is for 30 days between August to October 2021.
• The payment is a fixed and consolidated fee based on a daily rate.
