Driver and Logistics Officer – Migori/Narok counties (2 positions)
Reports to: Project Coordinators in specific locations/ Logistics and Admin office Nairobi
Job Location: Migori and Narok Counties with possible exchange missions and to Nairobi.
Contract Details: Annual Renewable contract subject to funds availability with 3 Months’ probation.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- To provide transport services for staff and other authorized Passengers and goods to and from assigned destinations in a safe, efficient and courteous manner, strictly adhering to road traffic rules.
- Demonstrate consistency in upholding and promoting the values of the Organization in actions and decisions, in line with the Organization Code of Conduct
- Carry out daily maintenance checks on vehicles and ability to detect faults and report promptly to supervisor
- Ensure Vehicle is roadworthy before starting journey including lights, tyres, fuel, oil and lubricants
- Ensure vehicle log, maintenance logs are appropriately kept within agreed frameworks.
- Ensure vehicles are serviced at the stated mileage and all details documented in the Logbook
- Liaise with logistics department in Nairobi to ensure that organization vehicles are serviced on time and have all the necessary equipment (tool box, tow rope, jake, first aid kit, Fire extinguishers..).
- Share weekly reports on the state of the vehicles
- Immediately report any accidents by filling in the accidents report
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and discreteness in discussions and travels involving the nature of the role, passengers and destinations ensuring the safety and security of passengers and vehicle in his/her care
Admin
- Assist with collection of quotations, vendor indetification for various supplies, collection of supplies
- Assist with delivery of payment cheques to various suppliers
- Assist with verification of items delivered and ensuring the quantities match the orders
- Assist the project team with signing of distribution, participants, payment lists in the various project activities
- Any other duties as may be allocated by the Project coordinator and Logistics and Admin department in Nairobi
Minimum Education, Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) & Computer literate
- A valid driving license class ABCE or its equivalent (B,C1,C, D1 &D2)
- Good spoken and written English.
- Excellent driving skills with over 7 years continuous driving experience 5 of which is driving 4WD manual vehicle
- A valid certificate of good conduct
- Ability Swahili. Knowledge of the local languages in Migori and Narok will be an added advantage
- Good work ethics.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Interpersonal skills, good judgment, and maturity.
Desirable
- Computer Literacy
- Good knowledge of mechanic is an asset
- Previous work experience in the 2 counties of intervention
- Experience within a government or NGO or Corporate/Office environment
