Tender for Provision of Medical Insurance Services to CARE International in Kenya (Nairobi and Sub-Offices)

CARE International in Kenya is inviting eligible firms for provision of medical insurance services for the financial year 2023/2024 for its staff in Kenya. Interested firms are invited to apply for the tender for insurance, indicating the type of insurance services they wish to be considered for. Existing Insurance firms who wish to be retained must re-apply.
Type of Insurance Services CARE Kenya invites sealed bids from eligible firms for provision of insurance services as
follows:

Lot No. Category
1 Medical Insurance (In patient & Outpatient)
2 Group Life Insurance
3 WIBA/Group Personal Accident Insurance
4 Travel Insurance (Only on a need basis)
5 Directors and Officers Liability insurance

Interested bidders should provide the following documentary evidence which shall be used during evaluation.

1. Must be registered with the Insurance Regulatory Authority for the current year and a copy of the current license be submitted.
2. Must submit copies of the following documents.
a. PIN Certificate
b. Certificate of Registration/Incorporation
c. Audited accounts 2020/2021/2022
3. Attach a copy of official receipt for the payment for the non-refundable bid fee
4. Proof of previous works from at least 5 references in the last 5 years
5. Any other documents deemed relevant to each tender
6. Must not be an insurance broker

CARE holds proper ethical conduct in the highest regard. If it is discovered that corrupt or unethical practices have been undertaken by the vendor or attempted, the vendor will be disqualified from any further work with CARE.

CARE will not provide support of any kind to a person or entity that is known to advocate terrorism or engages in terrorist activities. CARE will comply with all applicable laws and regulations that address terrorism and terrorist activity.

Interested firms will be required to pay non-refundable fee of KES 4,000.00, through banker`s cheque and obtain an official receipt from Finance department. A copy of the receipt shall be submitted with tender documents.

Hard copies of the tender document can be collected at CARE Kenya Nairobi Office located on Muchai Road, off Ngong Road from Tuesday 18th April, 2023 On collecting the tender document, the vendor must sign a sealed bid-tracking sheet at the CARE Nairobi Office Reception.

The tender bid should be deposited into the tender box at CARE International in Kenya main office in Muchai Drive Ngong road at the reception desk on or before 2nd May, 2023 by 12:00PM and to be clearly stated with the headline subject as:

TENDER FOR PROVISION OF MEDICAL INSURANCE SERVICES TO CARE INTERNATIONAL IN KENYA (NAIROBI AND SUB-OFFICES) – TENDER NO. CARE/NRB/03/2023

Following the bid opening, the successful vendor will be contacted.
