AGNES-BAYER Science Foundation Research Grants
Call for Applications for the “AGNES-BAYER Science Foundation Research Grant for Biodiversity Conservation & Sustainable Agriculture in Sub-Saharan Africa”. This grant is funded by the BAYER Foundation and with the support of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AvH). The Grant is for Junior Researchers (PhD students) and aims to strengthen the scientific capacity of young scholars in Africa.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the AGNES-BAYER Science Foundation Research Grant, applicants must meet the following:
- Must be junior researchers having published at least 1 scientific paper (in a non-predatory journal)
- Be from Biodiversity conservation and/or Sustainable Agriculture discipline.
- Must be officially registered for a doctoral degree at a university/tertiary institute in sub-Saharan Africa.
- Be a national of a sub-Saharan African country.
- Must demonstrate clearly that their work is relevant to development in sub-Saharan African countries.
